I like T-Shirts on guys, particularly when they don't have plastered across them: (a) an obnoxious company logo; (b) an obnoxious sports company logo (inspirational message to train til you spew optional); (c) requests for women to show their tits or other references to sex (personal non-favourite favourite: "Pin her down and nail her"); and (d) inexplicable graffiti-prints which make no sense and occasionally have subliminal sex-requests. Is it that hard? A quick stroll through the Queen Street Mall in Brisbane suggests yes. (Note: I am prepared to admit that this is not very representative of men's fashion offerings).
More in boy-wear, come these T-Shirts from Gnome Enterprises - a Brooklyn-based (and on Etsy) biz selling "hand crafted artisanal Tees". Which means basically it doesn't include any of the above, and they are quite quirky and cute. I also like the shaded little enviro messages in them. PS: They have tees for girls too. However, I'm less of a fan of T-Shirts on girls.
