Red Lips, Beige Hips

I fucking love red lipstick. Best buy this season is Nars' lip pencil in Dragonfly (yes I own it, and yes I wish I had been paid to say that, but I wasn't). Limited chance of smudging as it's fairly matte (pencils are like that), and it's so easy to apply - you don't need to stand in front of the mirror with a lip brush painstakingly applying your lip colour, all the while feeling like a gumby as you are forced to reveal excessively high maintenance behaviour in public toilets. It's also more of a tomato shade, so you're less vampy glamour-puss, more Alannah Hill-esque fashion goddess, a la Diane and Chloe.
