December 1st

Not only is the first day of December the day we can safely string up our Christmas decorations without fear of bad luck, it is also World Aids Day, a day designed to raise awareness and smash through the myths and prejudices that surround this deadly disease. In honour of the day, 100% of sales from the M∙A∙C Viva Glam range go to local AIDS groups. The Victorian AIDS Council has received $927,446 since 1998 and the Queensland Association for Healthy Communities has received $229,810 since 2003.

M∙A∙C make-up artists are also donating their time and skills to provide pampering at local HIV/AIDS charities for volunteers, sufferers and families affected by HIV/AIDS. (Very Princess Diana, and very kind).

Local groups that will benefit from the Viva Glam sales include the Pediatric HIV Service at Sydney Children’s Hospital, Victorian AIDS Council, AIDS Council of South Australia, The West Australia AIDS Council, Queensland Association for Healthy Communities and the Bobby Goldsmith Foundation.

So if you're going to buy a lipstick any day of the year, this is the day to do it!
